Part L Building Regulations

OpenVu Classic sets have been independently tested within Part L Building regulations for thermal efficiency and carbon emissions. Our OpenVu Classic bifold door sets achieve a rating for the whole set of 1.6W/m2K.

OpenVu Deluxe sets have been independently tested within Part L building regulations for thermal efficiency and carbon emissions. Our OpenVu Deluxe folding door sets achieve a fantastic rating for the whole set of 1.5 W/m2K.

The Lower the rating achieved the better the thermal performance; therefore 1.5W/m2K is a better rating than 1.6W/m2K. Part L Building regulations October 2010 states that for refurbishment or extensions to existing dwellings the ratings should be 1.8W/m2K or lower and for New Build project 1.6W/m2K or lower.
